Another successful installation by Sean (aka. sfv41901). He meticulously installed JDM signal power folding side mirrors on my Prius. Thanks so much Sean...It looks beautiful! :D

Notice the new button installed on the left. Power folding mirror option! ...even while driving!!

This upgrade will definitely set me apart from all the other Prius' out there on the road where I live. ;)

It does look beautiful. I have a Blizzard Pearl too. How much does something like this set your wallet back? I like the way it looks.

Had a little look around on the net and didn't take me too long to find the Japanese company that makes these. They sell them primed and in a few paint colours. Primed works out about $128 and in 070 painted for example about $190. But then you need to add shipping and tax.

Have sent them an email to see if they will ship to me here in the UK.

Here are a few photos. I think it looks quite nice with the black original spoiler and the white extra lip.

Replaced the map and dome lights with LED. Broke the tab on the passenger side map lens, but my local dealer has the part for $8 oh well.

It does look a lot better. Vanity and door lights next. The bulb I bought for the hatch doesn't fit.

Thanks Luis for showing interest in these beautiful mirrors. As for the price,
    - the folding mirrors w/signal light will cost close to $500,
    - the painted signal mirror covers are $155
    - the labor was $200 (but I felt it was toooo low. I gave Sean extra $$$). Sean's installation was time consuming with all the wiring, but came out very clean and meticulous. Well worth the wait! So all in all, you'll be paying close to $1000...if not more. ;)

They're 5 SMD LEDs. Same ones I used in the parking lights and plate lights. I also installed them in the vanity lights.
The rear dome is a 4 SMD festoon. I need to get a slightly smaller one for the hatch area.

I had the same problem with a kit purchased on eBay. The dome light wouldn't fit. I ended up using the one for the hatch in the dome and asked the seller to send me another small one for the hatch.

Then I switched them all out for warmer colored LEDs lol and ended up replacing the dome light with an SMD panel LED light.

I hate festoon bulbs in general. They never fit perfectly, but it looks like there's limited space for a panel... Not to mention the panels use festoon leads anyway. Either way, they're in and hopefully, they last a while.

I know where to get the painted signal mirror covers, but where do I find the folding mirrors w/signal? Thanks

:) I added a "flashing third brake light kit" to my 2012 Prius. LINK. I've had them on my other cars for years. When applying the brake, the third brake light will pulse four times. Has a two second delay before flashing again. Nice compact unit, well made, with three wires to attached. Will require removing the two bottom interior panels on the inside of the hatch door. Cost is $16.95 with free shipping on eBay.
