From what I can tell the ANY aftermarket Yaris Header will bolt directly to the block, however as of now you will need to find a Yaris support bracket to keep the cat back from breaking any welds on the header from movement as the Prius one doesn't line up. You will also need to fab up a connection to the Prius catalytic converter pipe or find a Yaris catalytic converter pipe all together as the two spring bolts and connection don't line up.

Keep in mind these are as "maestro8" said 'bolt-on-solutions'
    - with the right tools you can fabricate this all yourself for a lot less $$$.

The second pack weighs 178 pounds (which is like having another adult passenger in the car). The lithium Ion Pack is charged from household 110v or at the office etc... It has two modes:
Mode 1: 40 miles all electric range - then the factory system takes over.
Mode 2: 100+ mpg for up to 200 miles before the second pack needs to plugged in again. Once Lion pack is depleted again, the factory system takes over.

Also I can remove the pack in about 20 minutes.

My commute is 26 miles so I usually go months without filling my gas tank. For my situation the battery pack had the biggest gains as opposed to headers etc...

This thread isn't about your situation.

Why not start a new thread about your perpetual motion machine with its magical second battery pack?

Pretty sure this thread wasn't about getting the most MPG...pretty sure batteries had NO relevance what-so-ever any where in this thread... so what IS your point?

    Better yet... define your comment.

    for relevance...

Did you even read my post??

This has nothing to do with exhaust heads, but thought I'd share it with you Justdidit, you seem to like modding anything and everything so I figured you'd appreciate it!

That is pretty interesting. Wish I had a huge shop and tools to do stuff like that. Last time I showed a Master Mechanic what I've been up to with my car, he asked "Your doing all this work in a underground parking garage in a Condo complex!?.... wow!"

:( I need to buy a house with a large garage... and a lift! :)

Made some headway... more updates soon.

Check out the thread: Modding My 2008 Touring...."JustDidIt" | Page 10 | PriusChat

Haven't posted much in here in a while - soooo

Got all this swapped over to my 2007 - LOVE it.

    Removed OEM 1NZFXE steel header
Installed a 1NZFE DCSports Ceramic header #SHC4401 with custom welded flange
    Removed (1) OEM catalytic converter
    Removed (1) OEM resonator
Installed (2) 4" round Magnaflow mufflers #10414 directly behind O2 sensor
    Mandrel bent 2" piping
Custom dual loop muffler created from (2) 4" round Magnaflow mufflers #10414 and Magnaflow's exhaust tip #35168

Improved flow overall with my custom intake. The hybrid battery charges up faster, no MPG update yet on my 2007 but it improved quite a bit with my 2008. Definitely feels quicker, but no dyno proof of course. Really feel like the OEM headers, the (2) cats, resonator and muffler as well as the reduced piping size really limited the potential of the little 1.5L.

Has this helped or hurt your MPG? I'm looking to do a similar setup but "legally" have to keep the catalytic converter on. Do you have a video with a sound clip?

Don't have a video clip yet, but I can try to remember to get one.

I can't single handedly prove it improved my MPG but I know with the combination of the custom intake AND the custom Header back exhaust i felt a performance increase when I flogged my car and I saw a mpg increase when I drove economical. Best run ever on stock exhaust with stock intake with OEM 16" wheels was 44mpg - I was getting constantly above 50mpg once I finished the entire exhaust setup.

MPG depend largely on driving style, but also terrain and climate. In SoCal I was getting 41mpg with my 19s and now here in Canada I'm getting 40mpgish. During the winter which is a majority of the weather up here - I struggle to get 38mpg.

No video yet, but found some pictures of the install..

The one aspect that I am not happy with is the loop with a point. It will be cut off and replaced with a smooth 180 pipe at some point.

Do you get fault light from missing catalytic converter? From your pictures it looks like you have one sensor in the rear exhaust manifold and then one in the front of exhaust pipe with nothing in between?

There is one sensor in the header and a 2nd sensor after the 1st cat. The G2 Prius has two cats. I just removed one. No CEL.

For a yaris? Possibly, i never looked. Went straight for quality ceramic coated DC Sports headers. There are no headers at all for the prius.

It could possibly work but I don't know if it would be much improvement over stock. That header has some short runners..compared to the DCSports.

Keep in mind that this is not a straight bolt on and you will have to have a custom flange welded on.

After reading reviews from other 1NZFE users, I chose the DC Sports header off of dyno results... granted our 1NZFXE would provide different results.

The eBay one looks almost exactly like oem.

Well might have to wait until winter for this kind of project when I raise the car up for snow. :( The shop I got my last exhaust at said they can't fit my lowered car on their rack without damaging it. Went to a PUR Performance - custom shop only to find out they just do bolt ons. Got some recommendations of other places near by in STL but questionable if they will put me on the rack. So stupid. My tire shop Dobbs is the only place with balls to rack my car, even did alignments on it.

Maybe I should go super rice and just unbolt the muffler and call it a day.haha

I ran open header on the drive to my exhaust shop. They wanted too much to install the header so I did it myself but needed them to weld the flange. The car sound like a POS. Mid install of the full exhaust i ran the car for a couple days with the exhaust cut off right behind the resonator turndown and it was just waay to loud. I got plenty of strange and baffled looks and i felt like my car was junky and a POS hoopty while the exhaust was incomplete.

One shop today told me they don't want to work on Prius at all. Another shop told me $300 but with one muffler and no resonators. Told me I may lose some low end power but gain on high end. Starting to wonder if it's worth it after hearing that.

 I would've just rolled my eyes...Maybe its just me but i have never felt the car make ANY power without the RPMs being up. That is why the electric motor is soo helpful. We have all the Torque we need down low. its the High RPM when u have it floored when u want and feel the HP increase... or so my butt-o-meter says. (y)

Additional power is something I have never managed to extract from these cars. Lots of additional noise, yes.
