What happened to the "we are here to assist you here at PC", guess not. Only way to do it is to learn yourself and not depend everything on others! I tore part of the dash apart and found out that they were all prepped for me! It took me an entire day (day off) but have yet to get the puddle lights to work. I did see it LIGHT UP when plugging it to the dome light just for the hell of it. They would stay lit though even when the dome shut off. I didn't have hands as it was done by the touch thing. But i then later on found out that they will only light up ONLY if the car was locked, in my case it wasn't. It was simply door closed, light off and the puddles were still on. So there goes that. I think I wired the mirror's puddle light black incorrectly though. It is along with the ground (chassis/screw) which I believe was suppose to tap on the BLUE wire correct? And what about the white wires (puddle), where do I link those to? I would not want to work on the hard to reach spot dash if I don't have to though. My LEFT and RIGHT puddles, running/parking, are all together meaning someone ran them to the drivers side. The signal *RED* was the only wire I soldered to the passenger's lower corner. All works there. I spend hours reading on my bed this entire thread these pass few days! I have yet to work on the A Pillar but will do it this afternoon. Wish me luck there!

You weren't very specific in your previous post, that's why.

The two puddle light black wires connect to the blue wire, elusive or not, and the two puddle light white wires connect to a constant +12 V red wire (the driver's footwell light in the higher trims, etc.). Tap into the wrong blue wire and it'd be constantly on.

Alright I got them working. I tapped the red also on the pillar which I didn't want. I don't have the foot area light so I guess I didnt want to waste anymore time. After just putting everything back, I noticed my dimmer switch was not lighting up but functioning. Is it suppose to light up? I am not sure if it did light up as the others light up (fogs and solar vent). The original owner started but never completed this project and his black wires were ALL together so yesterday I thought just heck ground everything. After reading all the posts here, I knew what was the problem. Thanks guys!

this was a great learning experience. I guess it wouldnt be that complicated if i had done it from start to finish and not just finish a half nice person mediocre incomplete job. When you guys are mentioning the the constant +12V wire, is that the one we have under the hoods fusebox? and also if it is just the positive terminal from the 12V battery. Or these two I just mentioned are the same? Just confusing for me thats all as i am slow.

There is a constant 12v + at the lower driver kick panel. Let me see if I can find a pic

Can someone please show me how to remove the mirror from the mirror housing? I read the first post in this thread and I cannot see the white clips when I tilted the mirror up. Thanks.

There is no white clips. Above the picture in page 1, it clearly states this " First, to remove the mirror from the housing, you have to move the mirror angle upward. You will see 2 notches underneath the bottom of the black plastic mirror frame. Insert a small flathead screwdriver to the white plastic part(between the white plastic and mirror) and turn 90°. The mirror should come loose.

How much would you charge to install a set of the non-folding LED mirrors?

Most of the work separating the mirror from the mount is in breaking the adhesive used on the back of the mirror. DO NOT DISTURB/CONTAMINATE the exposed adhesive, otherwise it will not rebond at all when the mirror is replaced. The clips aren't that big of a deal.

I'd recommend using a heat gun to heat the adhesive up a bit first on the back of the mirror and the mirror mount when re-installing the mirror. Mine never rebonded, and I ended up using auto body "dum-dum" on the backs of the mirrors to keep them in place. More or less.
