After months of researching and foruming, I made a satisfied decision to upgrade from Halogen to aftermarket HID Bi-Xenon which is really great in color and high visibility at night. Headlight Leveling, behind Halogen headlight there is a 8mn bolt where you will use your hand or 8mn wrench (remove the black plastic cover over bumper to make more room). Twist it Clockwise to lower and Counter Clockwise to raise headlight. Halogen version doesn't come with Automatic Headlight Leveling Sensor, do they? I aimed mine relatively low because my intention is for a great looking light, high visibility and not blind on-coming traffic and meet standard of my country. Hope this is helpful for PC member who look forward to do the same thing. ***I couldn't find where to adjust attached pictures correct, so it goes upside down! and I made a mistake posted in Prius 2 Main Forum also!
When I upload sometimes it does the same. So I rotate the photos accordingly on my PC b4 uploading and it usually fixes the problem, once they've been uploaded upright online, i re-rotate them correctly for the pc. Any more pictures of your blacked out front lower bumper? looks pretty good. I've thought of doing the same...
Wow... Uh... You really need to change your lights. I would be embarrassed to drive that car with the cutoff it has. I retrofitted some decent projectors into the housing, bixenon as well. Cutoff is sharp, no hotspots, far throw. This is a picture of the light as going up a slight incline so both can be seen.
Having a good cut-off is nice... Pulling into the Garage A bit of the length of the cutoff - I'll get a better one later. Compare OEM HID 35w with 6000k DDM bulbs VS 55W DDM 6000k kit. Notice with the 6000k looks more white with the 55W. Makes the road light up nice and white...not as much blue.
That cutoff is what I want to achieve but I just can't... Tell me how to achieve that? Bi Xenons available here are those Chinese made product... That's why I aimed headlight to the lowest point to avoid blinding oncoming traffic.
Are you using the stock reflectors? I don't see any change to your housings? You will never achieve a projector cutoff with reflector housings.
I mean should not could (auto correction suck)! Anyway, those cutoff are from a projector lens, correct?
^^Agreed, you'll need to retrofit... here's mine.,, My Headlight Mods: Mini H1, Blacked Housing and LEDs | PriusChat
Retrofits are hard work, but they produce excellent results as you can see. You cannot get good results like that without some work.
Yeah you are right, and it is possible and doable... I think I'mma stick to what I have for now since I feel really please with it, many for awhile before retrofit comes in thx
