i'm not sure, cause I returned my ottonavi unit a while back

but it probably has to do with the Fat32 files.

make sure your files are in that format :)

Is the error displayed on exactly the same song/file? It can be a bad USB drive or broken mp3 file.

I had the same message once but not in exactly the same conditions.
The problem turned out to be a corrupted registry.
If the problem persists, you can always reinstall the Windows OS; easy to do.

I have one of these head units for sale on Craigslist, I am in the chicago area, but I will ship it. Just contact me through the forum or check out my craigslist posting. Ottonavi OEM Head Unit for 2010-12 Toyota Prius. It has everything you need to hook it up in 15 minutes or less. Still have the box and manual and the stylus that ottonavi gives you with it., and obviously all the wiring etc... that you need to hook it up. I have a license plate back up cam I can throw in. All you will need is the long yellow video cable that would go from the rear hatch to the back of the unit to hook that up. It is just like buying it new from Ottonavi but with a less expensive price tag.

Looking at the screen, not the message, I am seeing corrupt MP3 data. There is no song title, no artist, and the Album info is screwed up. You look to be about half way through the song too. I'd try using an other USB drive and either remove this song from the list, redownload it, or try to fix it with a media fixer or MP3Tag editor.

    Update:

first of all the reason the song title show symbol is because they are chinese song.
Here are what I did so far:
    1) Use another USB drive and copy only english MP3 songs, Same error message still showed up
    2) I pulled the SD card out and copied the same english MP3 song to it. Popped it back in. Same error message still showed up.
    3) Use the tip of the pen the pressed the reset button at the SD card slot. Same error message still showed up.

By the way, My unit shipped with EN-PRIMA-V1.53-60HZ, MCU: D65TPRH7BH-T1-V9.02
    Someone help please.

    Hi All!

I installed this Ottonavi unit this weekend and am really pleased with the results. I love the way it can be customized so easily!

However, the unit won't show ccd cam automatically when I put the car into reverse. I did tap onto this Pin 29 wire using the blue reverse wire from the HU. When pressing the ccd button onto the remote, it shows the cam, but that's the only thing that seems to make it work.

Could it be because I got power for the cam from the rear license plate lights? I did it this way so that I could use the camera into all driving modes (D, N, R, etc.) when license plates' lights were ON. I did not run a positive wire from the cam to the pin 29.

Thanks a lot in advance for your help!

I ended up running wire from cam to pin29 and also connect the whole thing to reverse light... Everything works fine now! I can't get cam running without putting car in reverse though... ah well!

    Hi all,

I have some question for you Ottnavi users:

I'm interested in this Prius In-dash DVD GPS Navigation unit, but
I have some important questions before buying it:

1 - Can I change navigation volume separate from radio volume? I hear people complaining about low navigation volume.
2 - Does the unit mute the radio when the navigation speaks, And comes the speech out of the speakers or out of the unit itself (two small gaps)?
3 - Is the sound quality (especially low bass) good? I have returned another chinese unit because of the lack of real bass.
4 - Is FM receipt good? I hear also people complaining about this. FM is realy important for me. I listen FM everyday.

By the way, with my previous owned Chines 2din radio I had bad FM receipt also, but it seemed that the Prius antenna has an inbuild amplifier, so it's necessary you connect it to 12v power (see blue cable in attachment). After doing this, my FM receipt was much better.

    Thanks Guys

Another question relating FM antenna power (above picture with blue cable).
Which cable/pin on the ISO cable (included with ottonavie) is for 12v power?

I purchased the unit, and it works really good. I connected the blue antenna wire to "antanna_cont".
    FM receipt is perfect now!

    I have one more question:
Is there a way to only mute the front speakers while navigation speaks?
Or even a way to not mute the unit at all, but just mix the GPS sound with the Radio sound?

    Thanks!

I don't think there is a way to do it there is a post on here somewhere that explains why .Playing my usb drive I get sound from both the drive and the navigation.

I'm planning to purchase Ottonavi for my car but before I spend some hard earned money and time, I'd like to know from existing owners what's their opinion with the HU - 1 month to 1+ year later after they installed it. I've been reading some of the postings here but most are installation experiences. If I missed something, my apology. I've also read some opinions outside this forum. Some are skeptical with the unit's longevity because of part's quality and coming from a non-premium brand. Thank you for your help.

Mine has been running for almost 2 years and I never had a hardware related problem.
And I'm driving in all kinds of weather; cold winters to hot summers.
But I'm sure you can find better quality parts if you are willing to pay more.
Now I don't think the Ottonavi is 100% compatible with the Prius 2013.
Check with the Ottonavi people to make sure.

Thanks, Bulle. I'll check with Ottonavi. Hope your experience can also be confirmed by other owners.

Has anyone else had an issue with the aux not working with ottonavi? Just finished my install, love it. wired for camera (ordered) and everything else is working great.

However, when I try to play via Aux, choose aux in the menu- plug in the center console 3.5mm and nothing :(

It's definitely working on mine; tested it several times.
Make sure your volume is right on both sides.

Yeah. Tested it with my usual phone like I do everyday and even tried a different player for good measure. Might have to call up Ottonavi.

Ps. Thanks Bulle and everyone else contributing. Really helpful for us new Prius owners.

Well, looks like you will have to remove the unit anyway.
So you might as well check the WHITE connector with the 6 pins inside (it's wrapped with the pink brake wire and has a black connector at the other end.)
I believe this connector provides steering wheel buttons and AUX in's.
If you can not control your radio volume and mode from the steering wheel that means it is NOT connected and therefore AUX is not connected.
If buttons are working, may be this connector is not seated properly or has missing pins.
