    Hello everyone

Today I have noticed that my windscreen won't defogged. Normally it will just takes 30-40 seconds for it to clear. It seems the air that blow to the windshield has blocked or it won't channelled the air to the windshield vents. I tried to feel the air at the windshield vents, but couldn't feel anything. The air seems to comes from the front and the legs only no matter what button/switched pressed.
I think the air conditioning amplifier may be faulty. I am thinking of replace it. I have searched the internet, but so far I cannot see any tutorial how to replace it. Can someone shed a light to this problem.

    Thank you

could it be the vent door motor? is the air to the cabin warm with the air conditioning on?

When i switched on the A/C air seems to come out of the driver and passenger vents as well as the floor. If I switched to the windshield and the floor air still come out of the driver and passenger vents. If i pressed the windshield air flow switch, the air still come out of the driver and passenger vents. The air flow is not channel correctly or malfunction. You have mention about the vent door motor, where can I check this?

    "Air conditioning amplifier" ?????

In general, checking the air dampers and motors that control them requires taking the dashboard apart on some models and if not that, then standing on your head in the foot-well with a flashlight.......and knowing what to look for when you do that.

It is usually NOT something the owner can do by himself, unless he has experience with things like that.

agreed, this is not a simple check or fix as far as i know. you may want to access the service manual from toyota's website. i believe you can rent it buy the day.
