Looks great! I've got a lot of questions!
I have a 2002 Camry SE with leather, and the interior looks great - even after 12 years and 2 kids, the interior doesn't have any tears, no signs of wear at all.

I just bought a 2014 PiP with the cloth upholstery because I didn't want to spend $5000 on the better stereo and fake leather. No matter what they say, I don't have faith that synthetic leather would last as long as the real thing.

If an aftermarket leather kit wouldn't break the bank or or be too difficult, I'd seriously consider it. Did you do the work yourself? Was the leather a custom kit for the Prius or did you need to customize it?

I installed this myself.. No modifications needed. The kit was made for the Prius. . This kit is from CLazzio. You have to understand that no leather interior is 100% leather. (OEM or otherwise) The seating surfaces, headrests and other parts are usually leather, while the rest is PVC or another synthetic. It needs to be this way so the upholstery can stretch over the foam. 100% leather would come out like a loose fitting bag.

My first interior was a Toyota OEM interior. Built the same way. Installed with hog rings and pliers. This interior was 1200 from Toyota.

This Clazzio interior cost me 390.00 shipped from trdsparks.com

This went over the existing cloth, however I removed some of the upholstery from the drivers and passenger seat for a perfect fit.

I've installed 20+ interiors in other vehicles. This is my second Prius interior.

If you do decide to go the clazzio route, let me know. I can help you out. If you contact trdsparks.com they can check on availability of colors. 400.00 is pretty reasonable, especially for leather. The price listed is 449, but they give a better price over the phone. Most standard colors are in stock. Otherwise there's a 10 week lead time on them. I always opt for solid colored seats with similar color thread. I personally don't like the moded aftermarket look. But, to each is own.

I just got a 2010 Prius 3 with leather seats that are in absolutely brand new looking shape and really want to try keep them that way .

I'm using this car for work and play and I'm already working out of it so need to get those seats covered as soon as possible its just I'm having trouble deciding what covers to go with ?

I'm thinking about getting some kind of duel two color seat cover instead of just one solid color? What ever i get must have a center arm rest cover.

The Clazzio kits are bit pricy for me.

Looking here for any other options and suggestions ?

If your going to get quality covers, 400 for the whole car is pretty cheap.
Coverking makes covers in neosupreme ( imitation neoprene) come in many color choices, and come with console covers. Those will run you 150-180 for the front row and the same for the rear. Neoprene is waterproof, and 100 more for each row.

You can always get cheaper covers, like universals.. Those can be had for cheap but you get what you pay for. There not made for the specific model, so the fit is poor.

Another option-I have a quality slip on cover I got from amazon for 40.00. It slips over the headrest and covers the seat. It's black and waterproof. Priushoods (google it) makes armrest covers if you want to go that route. I can get you the name brand if you like.

Seat covers are tough to do on a budget.

On a side note your factory leather is very resilient, I would get some high quality leather cleaner, conditioner, and sealer( lexol) . Keep them as is. I covered my cloth with leather because of the ease of cleanup. Maybe get the slip cover if your concerned. The sealer is excellent and really keeps everything looking like new.

    Wow!

I had no clue this existed. I'm definitely going to be doing this in the very near future. I just bought a new prius 2, and this exact same color would be perfect since I have the dark grey cloth interior.

How does it install? How much material did you have to remove from the driver and passenger seats? Did the trimming pretty much "ruin" the cloth?

You don't have to remove anything. I just trimmed the excess fabric from the bottom of the front seats. Newer models don't have this. They fit very tight, but if you can read directions and have common sense there easy to do. They look great when done

Also installed a wheelskins cover today. Turned out good. No puckers or bunches. Trick is to condition and stretch the leather before you start[IMG]

Yes, but parts cost is almost the same as the kit. Call them.

If/when you get a kit, the poorest fitting component is the center console cover.

This is how I do this - remove console, 4 screws. Unsnap bottom if inner lid and slide off

Next, remove two screws and completely unsnap lid.

    Remove old fabric

Now, take your new cover and carefully rip (remove thread) on the long seams so you can stretch the cover over the lid. Don't worry, it won't come apart.. It's double sewn on the ends.

    Remove and discard Velcro

Get small alligator clips and thin cardboard ( think TV dinner box) to protect leather from marring. Use the clips to hold cover in place while gluing.

Glue- use contact adhesive. Read packages and get a product that takes a minute or 2 to set, so you can stretch. Use stitch holes in cover as a guide, and stretch over lid. You'll get it when you start doing it. Only glue the leather inside the lid, not on top. It won't stretch properly if you do.

Do this to both sizes, should take about an hour start to finish.

When done put inner lid back on and screw everything back together. See pics of finished product below.

You said the leather goes over the original seats. My original seats are old, dirty and smelly. Is it possible to remove the old covers and then install the new leather covers in it's place? Or do the new ones need to cover the old ones? Thanks

not sure about that with Clazzio as install instructions only discuss 'over original cover' method
but another cover manufacturer does it just that way, and Katzkin offer leather
    they are more expensive

That interior looks awesome! My interior is looking mighty worn, the drivers seat fabric is so worn I can see through it to the foam. I really need to do something about it.

I was looking at TRD sparks too: Sparks Toyota-Scion Online Performance Parts Catalog That interior looks so good :) I think I'm sold on the TRDsparks 'brand'! Thanks for sharing the information about your new interior!
