I am finding my prius c with 15 inch rims to be unstable on a windy day on the highway when I hit 55mph +. I have read up on the Whiteline rear sway bar and get the impression it will help. Is this true?

For the time being I will drop my tire pressure to 34 front, 32 rear to see if that helps.

Yes, adding the sway bar significantly helped with winds/other cars swaying the vehicle. The overall handling of the car was improved also. I highly recommend it.

I typically ran higher tire pressures than recommended also.

I agree, but it is an easy lever to fiddle with so why not. :)

Other than the rear sway bar is there anything else you recommend? Upgrading the front sway bar is beyond my capabilities and the structural braces I'm skeptical that they will do anything. Would upgrading to 195mm width tires help? Either 195 60 r15 or 195 50 r16 (if I upgrade to 16" rims)

Mid brace also helps a little bit.

Getting wider tires will work well. If you get 16 inch wheels, go with 16x7 +40 or +45 and 205 or 215 wide tires. This might hurt your mpg a bit though.

I bought the rear Brace off Ebay for $60 and a Front strut bar for front- and wind does not move the car. The rear was a huge improvement and took 5 Minutes to install. The front looks cool and was not very expensive. Solid as a rock now. Front was: Tanabe TTB151F Sustec Front Tower Bar from Amazon $100. Prius Strut Bar.JPG
