Had been looking for LED-backed lower reflectors for less than the ebay quoted ridiculous price FOREVAH!

And here they are, from the SHARE × STYLE (share style) shop on Rakuten, for the Prius v:

Excellent, I also have been looking, although never saw on ebay. Let us know when you get them.

Did you wire them as running lights or stop lights?

Not my car, some pics from the interweb
But if i had the choice, i would wire them as running lights.
Hopefully you are a bright enough target so you don't get rear-ended!

Do you mean DRL or parking light (on with both first and second position ON of the headlight)?
Because for DRL, it will take very l o n g wires up to the front;)
Oh don't forget it also has higher brightness for the brake hook up too.

Note, I ordered twice from Rakuten but not sure if from this shop, but they wouldn't ship to USA. :(

The rakuten order arrived in two days from Japan. Beautifully packaged, in keeping with Japanese tradition.

Parking light, auto-on; not sure I will wire or use the dual brightness stop function.

Y1500, about $14.80 -- which for two day service has to be the absolute bargain of the decade.

That is super deal in deed.

No shipping charge from the store to Tenso.com?

I have it installed. A word of warning if you want to use the dual brightness function via the 2nd positive wire. By connecting the parking lights and the brake lights, it will dimly light up the centre brake lights on the roof spoiler. So for now, I've wired it up only to the parking lights to avoid lighting up the spoiler mount brake light.

May I ask into which connector you tapped? Did you tap the harness below the rear bumper, or run to one of the tail lamp harnesses?

(Lack of a printed Helm manual -- or even a CD/DVD -- really irks me...)

Was packaged and shipped direct from SHARE x STYLE for just Y1500. Again, a bargain, not to mention FAST.

I tapped the back of the tail lights. I think because the tail light uses the same LED for parking and stop light, without a one way diode, power will always "leak" onto the centre brake light. Ideally I'd wire it up with the brake and parking lights but I wanted the car to be still legal.

Also with some versions of these reflector lights, some come in thin wiring you can jam in the tail light plugs (what I did) or scotch-lock them if they come with thicker wiring.

Here's mine anyway linked to the parking lights.

Thanks. Trying to decide on lower or higher intensity.

Do you have to drill any holes for the wires from the lower light to the main light unit?
Or you can just snake the wires through?
    Thanks,

I've seen 2 version. One that requires drilling the bumper (covered by the reflector so how the drill hole looks doesn't matter) and my one because it had thin wires I fed through the existing holes.
