I have a 08. Bought a oem fog light kit. Does anyone have any install instruction for this? The kit came with nothing but a switch, wiring, bulbs and trim pieces.. No instructions we're given. I searched and can't find anything.

Thank you sir. I'm definitely happy with it. Upgrading my headlights to HIDs. Contemplating the fogs too.. :)

Do your fellow drivers a big favor, and don't install HIDs in you
your reflector based foglights. They'll blind everyone with glare because they don't have proper cutoffs like projector lights.

Ok, it was just going to be for looks anyways. I'll save the 100.00.

I saw the hid projector retrofit thread.. Heating up in the oven, ect.. If I put HIDs in my halogen fixtures, will that produce a decent end result? Is the projector setup worth the time and risk damaging the headlights?

Where did you run the wire into the cabin for the switch?

It's in the instructions. There is a rubber grommet near the brake pedal.

There is a link in the first post or thereabouts, of the stickied thread (oem foglights available), to a pdf file download of the instructions.

Whoops, just noticed this is in the gen2 forums. :p

TampaPrius, perhaps you can take up the OP's offer to help by private messaging him. ;)

    Hi Wny
Where did you find the instructions for the install of the OEM Fog lights. I also bought a set and it didn't come with the instructions.
    Thanks
    Okie

Wiring is a bit different on the 2nd gen.
I'm not sure where to pull 12v under the hood. Is it a bad idea to use the jump terminal?

you can get 12 from the big terminal in the fuse box on the driver's side under the hood. but then you'd need to be careful not to leave your fogs on all night and kill the battery. might be a switched terminal in the fuse box too.
