If you cannot pull it upwards it is not going to move much. Perhaps some luggage straps might do the trick if you can find somewhere to hook them.

I was going to say, it sounds pretty secure to me.
Besides, it's packaged pretty low down, right?
Not likely to have a trajectory into the passenger compartment.

It seems Solid; no movement. Will see If I can secure it from bouncing up. Back to those directions.

I don't think so. Many car batteries just ride around on their trays with no ill effects.

In the long run (after the weather gets warmer) you might want to go back in and do everything nicely. For now see if the car wakes up and works.

Well done. This may help you to do other work on the Prius yourself without having to spend $$$ at the dealer.
Keep in touch here you will always be welcome, and helped by a great bunch of people.

Thanks! U have been Tremendous Help for me! Glad u and priuschat r here. I previously replace rear light section having chipped hole with kayak. There was a Super video on replacing it. Love not spending money! The battery was Scary; too close to the heart of the car.

You may need to reset the auto close on the drivers window. This is easy.
Lower the window to about half way, then raise all the way keeping you finger hooked on the switch in the up position for about three seconds. Job done.

All models of the gen2 Prius have the auto "go to full open/ go to fully closed" drivers window. This setting is lost when the 12 volt battery is disconnected.

Glad you got the new battery wired. (y)

Did you find the leak that allowed water into your hatch? That should be resolved soon otherwise your HV battery may be in danger. There are posts here about body cracks in our model Prii that allow water to trickle into the hatch area. There are also some DIY remedies to this involving sealants, etc. Check them out. Not something you can do in freezing cold, but if you can get it inside a garage or parking deck with reasonable warmth, you may be able to get it done.

EDIT: Duh...I see now that you mentioned a cracked window probably led to the water in the back. However, I would still verify that you don't have the body crack that many have reported. It may be due to both reasons.
