You're right. Thanks for the link.

I bought that ebay auction because I thought it would be cheaper and more convenient. Now I have to buy it twice.

You get what you pay for.

Do you have a place to get the fog light grill for my 14M Prius? Mine does not come with fog light kit.

You can price it at your local parts department, then try online sources to compare:

    Part number 53102-47020 - grill sub-assy

This is one of the lower prices I saw on my quick search:

LOWER GRILLE for 2015 Toyota Prius|53102-47020

The pictures don't show the foglight openings, but under the Parts Notes section to the right of the illustration, it says W/FOG LAMPS.

I purchased mine from here: 53102-47020 | Toyota OEM Parts | LOWER GRILLE | Genuine Toyota  when it was on sale for $80 something a year ago. But the link posted above is pretty cheap as well, they're all about the same price zone just got to look around. :)

You're mistaken. OEM HIDs do not flash the HIDs.

There are 3 methods that are employed:

    1. High beams on bi-xenon setups use a shield to define the cut off for low beam use. When you flash or turn on the high beam, the shield moves away to allow light to shine higher and further down the road (usually done with multi-reflector HIDs)
    2. High beams on bi-xenons use a moveable lens (usually done with projector style lens). To activate high beams, a motor moves the headlight up to shine further down the road.
    3. This is probably the easiest to implement. The manufacturer simply designs a separate halogen high beam housing and uses halogens for flash-to-pass but uses one of the above methods for regular high beams

I try to avoid flashing with HIDs, particularly aftermarket, cause some have a warm-up time (as we see in nedear88's video so flashing them won't actually show much light initially.

can someone post link the components i need, and what hid kit is everyone using, any issue? Can I use an Led bulb in those fog lights? will the Yaris harness kit fit in the 2015 Prius? I have a prius persona blilzard white. I hate to mess with the electrical since everything in this car is computer and electronic components.

Hey Nick, I updated my first post of he thread to include what components I actually used on my Prius, and a few installation instructions I used explicitly. See first post under EDIT.

Currently i'm using HID kit from xenonsupply.com/ in H11 bulb fitment 3000k color. They usually have a coupon floating around on the interwebs ;). LED bulbs will also fit perfectly (H11), but may not be as bright as HID's. Trust me I understand not wanting to mess with anything electrical with the car, but once you look over the OEM fog install instructions and vast information on Priuschat, you'll find out it's not that bad after all (y). These projectors install just as the same as OEM would, same bolt and mounting points.

Chiesy, what bulb are you using for the yellow color? also do you have the hid vs halogen's i notice the regular halogens really suck in the rainy weather.. is 3000k the yellowish tint for headlights?

OEM headlights are 4300K to 4500K, or warm white. You'd call them yellowish.

Cheizy has 3000k, which is definitely yellow, see first post for pics.
