I finally debadged the rear hatch. Had to get some 3M adhesive remover to get the foam double sided tape off. That stuff was no joke. I used the dental floss method and managed to separate the badges from the foam, leaving all of the sticky foam on the car. I want to black out both the front and rear Toyota emblems but the rear one is attached with the same double sided tape. So I did the front today, and I will come up with a plan for the rear one. I used black Plasti-Dip and carbon fiber "look" vinyl, and I am really happy with how it turned out. 20151129_134628.jpg 20151129_134558.jpg

Did you paint hatch wing black, or has it always been black?

I started using a heat gun, and decided to stop. When I pull the rear Toyota emblem I will use the heat gun to get it off. I was pretty annoyed to find out it was attached with double sided tape and not clipped on like the front is. But this may have to wait until it gets warmer, winter seems to have set in around here so temps are too low to paint outside.

Annoyed? Lol. Taped on rear emblem isn't much to get annoyed about. It's SIGNIFICANTLY better than holes. As holes require lots of money, time and paint to fill. I'm THOROUGHLY annoyed they used locating holes on the front fenders for the hybrid badging...

With the triple digit speeds the C can obtain, the holes/clips make sure the emblems are secure. ;)

Clips as in the attachment prongs. Yes, I do know it can exceed 100 mph.

Fender emblems do not have any clips or prongs. Just bits of plastic that protrude into the fender they do nothing to attach. But seriously I so wish I could have no emblems on them but g's emblems I sprung for as still significantly cheaper than fill and paint.

Same here. Neither has prongs to hold them in. Just plastic pegs that fit loosely in the fender locating holes. Damn toyota.

I had to make use of the circular blank on my C1 that higher trims use for the start button.

    Got one of these:

Took it apart to separate the goose neck section from the base. One screw at the bottom of the base, then two small screws to separate the goose neck section. Removed the circular blank from the dash and drilled a hole in the middle. Used some hardware to secure the goose neck base to the blank.

The pictures show the shorter goose neck version of the phone holder. I later ordered the longer neck version, but is installed the same way, so the pictures are still appropriate. The final pictures are of the final project. I needed the extra length so that my steering wheel doesn't block the phone and the wiper switch doesn't hit the phone.

What did you setup your gauges to monitor?
