Thanks for getting back to me. Nothing in the cargo area but I'll secure stuff near spare tire in case that's rattling and see how things sound on the way to appointment.

Now I don't know what to do about the fuel tank! I was afraid you were going to say don't touch. How else will they figure out what's causing the multiple clicks. One time I couldn't put more than 26 cents in tank despite it being down to almost half a tank and another time it clicked at least 3 times while trying to put $10 and this was different gas stations.

I'll talk to them about my concerns tomorrow I guess. It's an hour away but I can't cancel at this point. This may be my final appointment since warranty is technically over. These issues don't usually just resolve themselves do they? I was thinking I could drive it for a bit and see if it stays the same or gets worse. Obviously if they disassemble and cause a problem they will have to fix it. The diagnostics and repair are on their dime. Ugh!

Wil...it's still between 50 - 60 degrees down here. I still want your help if you are up for it but needed to wait until I get this resolved. I don't feel comfortable bringing car in with grille blocked.

I'll check for your responses in the morning. Appointment is at 9:30 am EST. It's not a wasted trip because I have to pick up samples of special food for miss Kitzy. : /

    Thanks!!

Merged, ps. PS to my above post:

I just googled had pump clicking before tank is full without specifying Prius and found an interesting article. I'm on small phone and can't cut and paste but it's in website theglobeandmail.com
If anyone wants to read. Sounds like I really should get at least the parts they mention examined. For all I know, previous owner could have constantly filled to the max. You know me by now ... I'll worry either way. Yes, worry is a complete waste of time but my brain cells haven't figured that out yet.

    This might be the one:

Why does the gas pump nozzle keep turning off? - The Globe and Mail

…interesting article, and I think perhaps you should get the dealer to check it out, especially if it's on their dime, and they will stick with it until it is fixed, and not give up! It sounds like they've been pretty helpful in trying to fix your problems so far. BTW that article is dated 2012, and the newspaper was Canadian (eh?) - Good luck daisy555! ;) - Wil

PS, daisy555 - I just noticed this one:

Yes, that's the article I read.

Well....I requested a test drive before working on car since I wanted to talk to tech about his plans and my concerns. While I was waiting the young, inexperienced service manager (I just changed my adjectives) comes out and says he test drove car and filled tank with gas no problems. SO he screwed up entire appointment because the point was to have the tank down to 1/4 so tech could work on it. He made assumptions about the problem and obviously didn't want to fix it. Had the nerve to throw in my face that sales dept has been paying for repairs. Who else would be paying for them? They we all legit issues under warranty and nothing remarkable.

I told him I wanted all of this in writing. If there is an on-going issue with gas tank, I will be back for them to fix. I then reported incident to salesman because I was disgusted with service manager's attitude especially since service dept told me to make this appointment. I know...I know...salesman really doesn't care but...he filled me in why service guy was having a bad day and it gave me a chance to speak up rather than walk away pissed off. Still no excuse for tone of voice! I knew they had been bought by J. Langway. That was explanation for the other Prius I had my eye on selling so low. I wasn't aware the final takeover was last night. When I was pulling in they were scraping the old name off the doors. Service manager has to transfer or close all accounts under one name and use a new system. Whatever ...not my problem. Salesman said my car was purchased under new ownership so coverage was not an issue.

Salesman is checking with tech to see if he examined neck and rubber hose and if he was able to determine if filler neck was clear. How do they check if there's a restriction in the EVAP? These are things the article talked about so I figured I better ask.

Full tank of gas paid for tolls and gas I spent to run errands so that's a plus! Hit the jackpot with special kitty food so trip was not a complete loss. Doing all of this for her and she still bites me! Ugh!

Thank you all so much for this great thread! It was a cliff hanger and a suspenseful soap opera! Very entertaining and informative. I'm grateful someone linked to it. I will go back through and take notes on key things like 2 key fobs, etc. I may not be able to afford a used priius right now but I'm learning a lot about them.
