I have starting issues that are getting more frequent; it "half-starts", the display lights up but no "READY" light and you can't engage the gears. The start button lights up orange. It never happens during the winter. It does happen during the summer, sometimes hot weather sometimes humid weather, but no clear consistent factors. I use my car all day long and start it like 10 times a day. This problem is getting worse in that it's taking longer before I can start it after turning it on and off several times in a row. It always eventually starts. I bought the car used around 6 years ago and have never changed the 12v battery. I hope to get some opinions about possible causes! Thanks!

I bought it used about 6 years ago or so and I've never changed it.

hi and welcome, try the 12v first but it may end up being the brake pedal switch.

does your car have cruise control and if so does it work

hi.. Just thought I would mention it, my car has a bad brake pedal switch which causes intermittent "ready" and the cruise control plays up..
