    too many reports of new batteries being low and needing a charge, or bad altogether. where did you get it?

    Oreillys. It the optima yellow top. Ill charge it and see if that changes anything.

    Hopefully you are using a more modern charger with an AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat) setting. These chargers know to charger the battery to a higher charge, then shut-off. Older, non-AGM chargers will cut off prematurely.

    If you don't want to buy an AGM charger, read Optima's suggestions on how to properly charge the battery.
