Holy crap... "Owners of an affected vehicle will most likely become aware of a problem with the steering as a result of increased noise such as a rattle or a `knocking' sound," Toyota said. I had just noticed a knock/knock/knock noise last week when I was turning, but I chalked it up to yet another squeak/rattle coming from the car. I had no idea that it could be the steering about to collapse in on itself. I suppose I had better call the dealer.
