DTC P0A1D means that the hybrid vehicle ECU has failed. That is located behind the glove compartment (along with the engine ECU). A new HV ECU will be fairly expensive but used ECUs are very inexpensive due to the low failure rate, at least in the US.

Before you go and spend a lot of money on parts, please unplug the power connector to the AUX (12 volt) battery. This will clear everything in the ECU allowing connection to other computer modules. Once my 12 volt battery discharged because I had left the headlights on. I had to clear the faults cause by that before it would go into drive. (It would start)

One possibility is the inverter cooling pump may have seized and taken out the fuse, check the AM2 fuse.

    Hi-
Your tagging on a 3 year old thread your better off posting a new thread explaining your issue. The thread you question ended up being a trans with no trans fluid which is very rare.

Failed hybrid battery is very common now given the age of the car. You have codes launched in your car they need to be decoded as the car will tell you exactly what its unhappy about. But usually if you have a red triangle on the dash (master caution alarm car very unhappy) and on the mfd the screen over the radio if that has a little icon like a car in the upper left corner (like the previous thread) we call it the turtle that usually means the hybrid battery has failed in one way or the other. I think the thread you tagged that guy had multiple issues.
Which is probably why he never returned.
