usb port not working

    Have you checked for a blown fuse, in your fuse bank? Not sure where it is on the C.

    Google is not very friendly in this instance, nor is the owner's manual. I read that the USB port is on the same circuit as the nav system but I don't see the nav system in the list of fuses in the manual.

    Old thread but..........the USB port is not compatible with all devices.
    Someone might be able to provide better advice if we knew what kind of device (phone?) you are using and what you are trying to make it do.

    Also, if you're trying to use the USB port to charge your phone you should be aware that the port is not powered unless the car is turned on.

    Anybody else ever get a weird message on display like I did this a.m. about USB drive using too much energy and that it's going to shut down. Here's the kicker: I'm not even using a USB drive at all.

    But is your PHONE plugged into that connector ?

    My wild guess: that sensor depends on temperature and the BLISTERING HEAT might have
    triggered it.
