When putting mine back on, I started at top--sort of "hook" onto the top rail, then snap on the clip near the mirror and go around/down from there.

Hmm..odd. The thing almost automatically popped in for me. This might help: there are evidently some "claws" towards the top rear of the panel. So you have to hook it on at an angle, and push it in. I didn't give it much thought but it did go back on.

I had the same problem and realized that that clip was supposed to stay on the door. If you pop it out of the door panel and then try to put the panel back on it's a lot easier.

Thanks op for this guide. I just installed the same set of 6 speakers he used. At small volume, not much difference from stock but the value is in cranking it up.
Anyway, I am wondering if it is worth it to buy a small 4-channel amp to drive these or add a small powered sub!!!

I will be upgrading my head unit to a 10.1 inch Android by end of may
Thereafter, I will replace the stock speakers
No additional amps for me just have the head unit (4x50x) drive the 6 speakers
My ride comes with JBL but I have shortlisted the Infinity Reference 6532ex for the Fronts and Rears
For the dash speakers, I will put on hold as I m not to familiar with replacing them
I need videos as I am a visual guy

I will be putting up videos on YT for my HU removal and replacement
    My video skills suck though

The fronts are the easiest ones. Just use a panel removal tool on the inner side of the panel to pop it up and its only 2 bolts holding the speaker in. I highly recommend getting the below adapter for the dashboard speakers so you dont need to splice.

The Metre and Redwolf connectors and brackets together with the front & rear speakers (Infinity Ref 6532EX) arrived
Now waiting for the Dasj tweeters before I stall the installation.

    Question:
    1. To remove the stock speakers, i just need to remove the rivets and the stock brackets and replace them with the Metra brackets & Infinity speakers?
    2. What about the brackets that came with the Infinity speakers? They cant be used for our ride?

use a drill to remove the rivets. you can attempt to keep the stock bracket, but the metra brackets are a bit cleaner. If you use the stock bracket, you'll have to drill holes through it. The brackets that came with the infinity speakers don't fit well. You will do some hack job which won't give you a nice seal. I used some rivet nuts but you can attempt to use a nut and screws. It is very difficult to get a socket to hold down the nut so it won't turn. I tried that first, and I only managed to get some gloves and got it finger tight, before I went the rivet nut route.

If you have soldering skills, you could reuse the connector on the dash speakers in place of the red wolf adapter connector. That's what I did and many folks on this forum did.

You cleared all my doubts. Thank you
Yes, I will be putting in new rivets n will use the Metra brackets.
I eillrwill also be using the redwolf adapters on the dash speakers.
    No soldering for me.
    Thanks again

The redwolf connecters for the tweeters does not fit the factory tweeter connectors.
I may have to splice the speaker wires since the woofer n tweeter wires are connected together

Anyone know know to splice the wires?
