    We bought an 05 with side damage all fixed put 2 new doors and side post ,painted looks great only (75 K miles )
    But now the head lights dont go off when you open drivers door opens and dome light as well ,
    thanks in advance for your help

    Remove the drivers door pin switch and see if the is functioning correctly. Do a continuity test on it too.

    Hope you didn't pay much for the car.

    Dome light should turn on (if switch is in the DOOR mode) when the door is open, obviously. Also in US Gen2 models, if the headlight switch is left in the ON position then the headlights should auto-off when the driver door is opened after turning the car off.

    Both of these functions operating incorrectly is good reason to examine whether the driver door switch on the door jamb is functioning correctly.

    Might just be easier to turn off the headlights when exiting the car than fixing it, especially if its gonna be an expensive fix.
