Custom sub box a success!

    I had a guy in the LA area make it for me. You can find him on Ebay. Just search the car and subwoofer enclosure. It's fiberglass made to the shape of the hole.
    But I did beef it up, glass was to thin in areas for a subwoofer.

    The fiberglass enclosure was basically 300. But you need to trim the panels a little on your car to fit.

    How did your car hold up with all those amps? What was the total rms? Did you get a different 12v battery? Run. Capacitor? I'm asking because I'm thinking of installing a 500 watt rms sub amp.

    I have a Alpine 5 channel class D amp to run everything. It's 100 by 4, and 4-500 for the sub. I replaced the 12 volt with a optima. Works great sounds excellent. Not capacitor. I don't run it much without the car on but otherwise I don't have any issues.

    Hi.. just wanted to ask how you were getting on with your install and whether you have had any issues running this setup. I was wanting to put in a 500 rms amp and sub into my Prius. But was worried if I would effect the hybrid system and also if the standard battery can hold up to the amp using its power. Also could you also put a link or model number of the Optima battery and your amp.. kind regards
