Are you asking me which shop I brought my car to? I titled it rough start because the mechanic said the car misfires before it starts. What does that mean that the inverter pump failed instead of the water pump mean or indicate?

Neither of the 2 water pumps would cause a misfire at startup. If there's a misfire, you may want to address that before messing with the water pump.

Your codes indicate you have an inverter water pump failure. But you shouldn't fix that until you determine what's causing the misfire.

I'm close to Los Angeles and I'm curious at this shop you went to

FYI. My daughter's 09 did the same thing with the inverter code. Her inverter coolant level was low. Low level will cause a pump failure code. I agree with the others here. Head gasket failure is rare. It could be water in the gas, or spark plugs. Or possibly an injector.
