Prius warning light. Will not start.

    you either need mini vci (amazon $25.) and a compatible laptop, or you can take the battery apart and test them with a light bulb. (see battery rebuilding threads here)

    OK, sounds like you have issues with the rebuilt pack. You may need to double check your work/connections or it could have had a hard fail.

    What exactly did you mean by "won't start"? No power whatsoever (no dome lights, dash dark, etc) or the car just won't get into ready mode?

    Whew! I found the problem! (Sort of). [​IMG] This little guy was tucked under a metal bracket and was hiding from me. It plugs into the orange safety plug. Now, the bad news, the car FINALLY got into READY mode and I drove it around to test it out. About a mile down the road the big triangle light, check engine, ABS and VSC light come on. :mad: I put the scan tool on it and now I have 3 codes. P0A93, P1116, and P1121.

    Did the reservoir check and I'm seeing no turbulence, so I know that needs to be replaced. Would this be causing the other lights?

    Possible for phantom codes to be thrown when major things go bad. Yes your pump is done. It's a relatively easy job for the DIY type. Tackle that first.

    Be prepared for possible battery issues once you can drive the car for longer times/distances.

    Yup. Sitting 6 months plus through the hot months is very tough on an old battery. BTDT Just don't be surprised if it starts giving you issues once you get the car running again.

    @fotomoto let's hope for the best! I will post if the pump replacement fixes the lights

    Update: all warning lights disappeared after replacing the water pump located behind/underneath the driver side headlight. Wasn't really planning on spending the $160 for the pump and coolant today, but so relieved the car is running fine now. Thanks to everyone for the help!

    Will do tomorrow when I get back to my shop. I had a check engine light that I ran a scan for and it threw a code for the coolant flow control valve. Causing the triangle of death? No parts warehouse around me can get one and I'm assuming it's because Toyota issued a TSB on it? Guess I'll be heading to the dealer tomorrow. My wallet is crying

    Presuming the P1121 came back up and yes this is the cause of the Master Caution light.

    Coolant Flow Control Valve is a commonly available part, have you try online Toyota dealers? Should be available overnight and if you use an out of state dealer you can save on sales tax.
