Sorry if it is a repeated question. Am new on Priuschat.

how can I use parking light as DRL? I don't want to keep tail light on. Meaning, I want headlight parking light comes on whenever power is on (ready)

Google search for webelectric DRL Prius. PriusChat member user offline has a guide on an install in his Prius v.

This is the headlight of my Prius. The Led strip below HI/LO beam projectors gets on whenever I switch to parking light. I just want to keep this LED strip on without turning parking light on. This way, it will work entirely as DRL whenever car is in ready mode

I thought about doing that also. Splice the DRL power and ground, connect the parking bulb W5W t10 power and ground leads to DRL spliced leads. Then replace W5W t10 bulbs with LEDs. Anyone done that mod yet?

Thanks for the follow up update. I'm going to do something similar like that tomorrow morning but for footwell lights; add 12w cob led to each footwell connector and leave original footwell LED disconnected. Hopefully this doesn't blow the fuse as it is the same circuit w/all other interior lights which I swapped all to LED already.

would it be okay to put in a higher current fuse, like going from 10 amp to 12amp fuse if you wired the parking lights with the drls safely?

    might work, might not....
exchanging fuses in a prius for stronger ones is kinda literally playing with fire/
look at this thin thin 22 gauge wires & you know what I mean..../

Very good point. By the way, the COBs worked fine without the fuse blowing with all the interior LEDs turned on including the led left of rear hatch.
