    Not legal in all states.

No states that I'm aware of but many municipalities have such laws. Sarasota Florida for one. And most of the public beach parking in Southern California. It's more common in states that don't require front plates. When you back in police can't see your plates. Jacksonville Florida tried to get this passed citywide a few years back, it failed by voters.

To get back to the OP, you can buy a backup camera, wireless transmitter, wireless receiver, and a small monitor for about $60 on Amazon. Using the wireless transmitter/receiver keeps you from having to run video wires through the firewall.

I do not appreciate the personal attack. I for one have received a ticket for this!

Just Google "legality of backing into parking space" you will see many examples including this one:
Is it illegal to back into a parking spot in Fl - Q&A - Avvo

The article you cite is not authoritative of itself and the the lawyer submitting the answer is a divorce lawyer. That is not to say you are wrong, but your example needs more legal substance. (y)

There are certainly a lot of parking lots which have signage that prohibit backing into the parking spaces. Don't think that that rises to the level of illegality, but does promise a "towed car" if ignored.

S' funny, over here reversing into a parking spot is encouraged because it's safer to drive out than reverse out. Of course that didn't know about RCA.

    Be nice :)

Same here but there are certain circumstances where they would prefer you didn't reverse in such as car parks with low hanging ducts running at the rear of the parking spot, oddly shaped/sloped ceilings that may hinder the opening of a hatch, or an intake vent where they do not want vehicle exhaust as you reverse into the spot. Those will have signs clearly marked.

Just thought i should jump in here, in my 3rd gen i got a front camera, and three things to notice (atleast about 3rd gen)

First: dont buy a reverse cam, the image will be mirrored when used as a front camera (duhhu, i shouldve thought of that lol)

Second: The wireless transmitters do react to other signals, so when u r in town or driving around a city or houses or something the camera might flicker, not that i care about that just thought i should tell ya

third: i got the version with parking assist, and i stumbled into a problem when i tried to hook the front camera up with the navigation with the extension harness for the nav unit i bought, i thought that since i got the parking assist the rear camera is hooked to the assist then the asist is hooked to the navigation with another cable, so i installed this first and second harness (pics below), the second one is the activation harness, like for the activation button. i got everything ready and i used a 2,4ghz reciever on the nav unit and a sender from the camera thats in the front (so i diont have to go through the fire wall). But yea.. i hooked it all up and when i pressed the camera button the rear camera came up.......................... not the front.............. so yea... that was uselss, i wouldnt try to add a front camera into the nav unit, if i were gonna add a front camera to the nav unit i wouldve bought a car that doesnt have cameras at all, then bought the extension and a split screen box so i could hook up both cameras to the split screen box then putting the video cable from the split screen box into the nav unit, that way u got both cameras installed and it looks like factory made.

This is the video cable extension thingy i bought [IMG]

and this is the activation cable [IMG]

So i ended up buying a second screen to have the front camera on instead of messing around more with it [IMG][IMG]

ill leave the wire diagram i made and used in the pics below here, who knows, maybe it can help u or make ur job easier. [IMG][IMG]

Luckily for me i can use the rear camera activation thingy as a security feature, like, i hook it up with the indicator stalk (or relay) so whenever i change lanes i can see behind me in the blind spots.
