The mechanic deleted the code, and told drive. If the code comes up again , so that part must be changed. I don't remember the name.
I own this car only 6 months. The previous owner used to take care of this car, he has a body shop.
It is 2007 Toyota prius and mileage is 137k

that's why i would refill it, and watch the level. deal with the camshaft flux capacitor later.

What was your mechanic's evaluation of this issue?

Did you pay for a CarFax report? Did you pay an independent shop or someone who is far more automobile savy, assess the car prior to your purchase?

I would not be surprised if this car is salvaged. Previous owner has a body shop. Definitely has the means to turn a wreck into someone else's problem.

Another question: after I'VE seen a mechanic, and scanner showed this p0012 code, they deleted this code. I'm still driving as it is. The lights doesn't show up anymore. But I can feel, that car lost it's power while driving up the hill, used to drive at least 65mph, now its 50mph, and engine sounds like having difficult time going faster when imI giving gas. Nothing was done to the car, I haven't replaced any parts yet. My mechanic asked me to drive as it is, and just wait if the same lighs shows up again.

Yesterday i checked under the car, and could see that something is dripping - car was parked at least for 6-7 hours. Could that be from coolant reservoir, or from AC?

If it's pink, it's coolant. If it's clear, it's probably from the ac. You can wipe up a little with a white napkin and check

I think it's leaking from transmission. Every day I can see there is a dripping under my car. Looked under the car, I can see drop of oil on a transmission. Can I temporary add some oil, while I'm gonna sort out what to do next?? Extremely unlucky with this car. Prius is 2007, with 137k.

    Brownish sounds oil'ish.

Did you touch or feel for viscosity?

Transmissions generally use 'fluid', though it can be equally argued otherwise.

If you have a basic interest in maintaining or servicing this vehicle, you can download a manual from :

Please find a hybrid car service and take your car to them asap before you blow it up.

Driving while leaking engine oil trans fluid engine coolant inverter coolant window washer fluid brake fluid take your pick will be very costly in the long run while you try to fix your car via the internet.

I'm with Ed on this. You said you don't know much about cars and this is clearly way beyond something you can deal with yourself. It needs a Prius mechanic asap or you'll destroy the car.
