Well they are all cleaned up! Nowhere near "new" clarity, but very good overall. Did not get before photos, but the headlamps were as bad as most before I started.

More cheap and easy headlight cleaners include toothpaste and baking soda. They're both such fine abrasives that they remove the yellowing without scratching the lens covers. Baking soda works even quicker if you spray a bit of vinegar on the headlight first, but if you get cravings for fish and chips, you've been warned. ;)

I love using rubbing compound. I had some Ukuleles that had a satin finish and a little elbow grease along with some rubbing compound had those Uke's looking glossy in no time. Thanks for the tip!

    Meguiar's ScratchX works great on
cloudy yellow headlights. Takes just a few minutes with a microfiber towel. No need to use a drill and its inconvenience (ie, time waisting masking off the surrounding area and product flying all over the hood and bumper). Be sure to apply a UV protection afterwards otherwise you'll be repeating the same procedure within the year.

I've had good success doing it the old fashioned way with very fine grit sandpaper and a fresh coat of UV resistant polyurethane.

I did a little French polish furniture refinishing: you start with pumice on a felt pad, then switch to another with rottenstone.
