There are no appliques for the steering wheel. However someone used Plasti Dip on it and posted photos, see post #16 in the following thread:

They want one for Gen 4 Prius. They are on eBay too. Toyota does not make one.

I would like a matte black one but all black ones are shiny.

This listing says to leave a note for color choice. It would fit 2018 too.

Hi Eric and welcome to Prius Chat. I realize you have your answer already, but I've previously replied to several others alarmed by the bathroom style of the white inserts.

Give it a while to to you become more accustomed to it and you may just find you like it after all. I say this, because I now think mine's great! Driving at night especially so, because there's a hidden projector lamp in the rear view mirror which casts a warm glow onto the shifter and tray area so you can see everything without losing your night vision for the road. The steering wheel trim is not affected so much but it balances the design IMHO. Of course, your opinion may not change, but you won't know unless you try.

My son just noticed recently while driving that the white on the steering wheel appears to have glitter embedded in it at times.

I do as well. And the moonstone grey interior also seems to keep the interior cooler.

Yes! I found that weird too, at night time, inside the panel and all controls lighted up, EXCEPT that shift knob!

The shift knob is illuminated from above in my Gen 4 Prius.

Pop the parts off and use a vinyl spray paint to your color liking.

You cannot easily do that with the steering wheel garnish.

Taping it off and painting in the car another option.
