    The bores look to be in good condition with plenty of hone marks still and almost zero ridge - and that cold be just carbon build up too.

    Wouldn’t you want to put in The revised pistons and piston rings if you rebuilt the engine anyway?

    The revised piston and ring set part numbers are in the attached TSB (they're stock parts for 2015 model year, and really should be used for any 3rd gen year, if you were replacing, or even if you have the engine out and disassembled). There's also a part number for a gasket kit, which I believe includes head gasket, and most everything else.

    Note also, there's parts in the TSB which seem to assume you're pulling the transmission too, so not all are relevant.
