As a final effort, I’m leaving my Prius on all day while I’m at work and see if that brings it a full charge. Last time I did that it worked albeit the battery was old and failing. We shall see!

You'll just be wasting gas. If the car starts, it's not the bad causing problems to SKS

My last ditch effort is to leave Prius in ready for 9 hours while I’m at work and hope this at last brings this battery to a complete charge. It worked on my last battery, hopefully I will have keyless entry at last

To the contrary, the car has always started but not until I charged it this way did I get keyless operation.

If the battery has enough juice to start the car, it'll have enough juice to work the SKS.

Yes you would think so. But all I know is it work after a long drive or letting sit in ready for a while. Not sure what else could be the issue really

You've changed the battery in the keyfob correct?

Si. Beginning to think it needs a new fob at this point?

    1. Does the lock and unlock buttons work?
    2. Do you have a spare Keyfob?

If the lock and unlock buttons work, I would try to do the SKS programming steps (aka chicken dance) again and see if the functions return.

No spare fob, and no no door locking unlocking or keyless start. The only thing the fob does right is allow the car to start with it in the slot. And the red light lights up. Other than that, nada

Do you have any stuck buttons on the fob? lock/unlock/panic. When you press them, do you feel them clicking?

Did your fob work correctly at one point? All the buttons worked and sks worked?

Yes, they worked on and off, with sks, but only after a complete charge of the batteries. Now, I have changed the 12 volt with a good battery, and they only worked briefly now never at all even after a 8 hour charge. The battery voltage shows 12.8 when you check with the screen, power button pushed(not in ready). I’ll change the battery On the fob and see what happens.

Another thing i noticed Is sometimes after pressing a button the little light blinks 3 or four times in a row I thought it was pairing with the car but it doesn’t work to unlock just the light will blink by itself a few times

Ok, here is the latest. Now, the sks system works(don’t have to push any bottoms) car starts without the fob in the slot but the buttons don’t unlock the car. Just the sks. Thoughts?

You should replace the key fob battery again once it stops working again.

It must be the fob with the issue. Since you don't have a working spare, getting a new one from the dealer will be $300+
