3x in the past few weeks it has taken 10 minutes or so to start the car. the ready signal just doesn't come. All the dash lights come on too. Anyone had this problem?

Or bad brake switch. You have the pedal depressed but the car doesn't know it. I say this assuming when you say "all the dash lights come on" you don't mean warning lights, just the normal ones.

you probably need a new hybrid battery, but start by pulling the trouble codes. or maybe a 12v test

there's a lot more to a hybrid battery than replacing the cells. read through some rebuilding threads and start a new thread to get more attention. all the best!(y)

Can you provide a photo/photos of the electronic section of the hv battery? We can at least tell you if it looks to be assembled correctly. You shouldn't have any voltage on the car side of the relays until you press the power button and the main relays shut and the car goes "ready".

Do you have a code reader that can display hybrid codes?

the only time i have volt on the car side is when i push the start button but it starts at 80 volts and climbs up to 150 volts very slowly and stops there at 150 volts but with the star button still pushed on the othere side i get 222.3 volts and i only here the precharge relay kick in the other 2 relays don't kick in only a couple time they hve and when they did the car started and the hv charged up in the green but the gas motor would not shut down my guess is the 2 relays on the hv battery are bad i'll try to take photos but the cover is on the cell part of the battery

Sorry if i am in the wrong discussion

hello everybody , I m new on the forum, back in Europe (France) , and not much of people who knows something about working on a prius here, i am trying to solve a pbm :

prius 2 ; august 2006 ; 192000 KM , used when bought , Tranny maintenance ? 12 V battery fully charged every time i try to start but used

i had a HT battery failure, bill from toyota that i refused (2500 €), i change my self the 2 faulty elements (thanks you tube) and put back everything : 212 V on testing

when i brought my prius 2 back home the thermic was working D & R but of course electric was not working.

since then , and I checked and rechecked everything, the orange big security plug position (as mentioned by several personns) all the 3 connectors to the ECU, the connector to the Fan , even the polarity of the HT connectors ....

same old song : THE READY MODE DOESN T COME ON, NO D OR R POSITION POSSIBILITY, THE THERMIC DOESN T FIRE UP , I noticed that i don't hear the Clac Clac of relays ans that the 12 V battery is drained after 1 day if stays connected. NO error CODE on ODB device

i desinstalled one of the 2 main relay to try to test it, but i am stucked

any ideas ? any suggestions, HEEEEEELP PLEAAASSSE

    thanks
