I tried it, got the panel off; broke a clip and then couldn't get the bulbs out I tried twisting with all my might and in fear of breaking one I gave up…

Use a small pair of pliers (not pointy ones) and try it again. Just wiggle it a bit while turning (left) to remove. The Blue clips don't break, you just have to remove it from the car hatch and put it back on the plastic cover. Just use a flat head screw driver to pry it out. There should be 11 of them.

I have long skinny fingers. I warpped my index finger around and got good leverage.

The hardest part of this job was removing the bulbs. It took some force to turn them so they can be pulled out. I had a panel removal set helping me remove the panel. Worth every $6 for the set. Saves me on scratches and dents to the interior, especially when removing radio and console trim.

I spent sixty minutes trying to remove light bulb housing by hand with no avail. Then, I used a socket wrench, applied some pressure, and it came right out.

Wow, it has been almost 8 years I made the video.

The bulb came out easy for me. I have sort of a Hitchhiker's thumb and was able to warp my index finger around and lock it in with my thumb and turn the bulb with pretty good leverage.

Thinking about this after my job was done, wearing a nitrile glove would give the extra grip needed to make the job even easier.

eBay. $2 for 10 lamps. Takes six weeks for them to arrive from China. Replace all the marker lamps in your car. Get some different types; the tallest ones won't fit in some smaller housings. Look for packages that have 5 or 10 bulbs in a single transaction. Almost all of them are "Buy it Now" so cut to the chase. Search for 'led 12 volt 192' and watch the Feedback ratings. If you spend more than $10 total you're doing something wrong.

Too bad that the music is SO annoying and very distracting to an otherwise useful video.
