    Go with non vent, anything optional with a breather hole/screw avoid, even if put a screw in place of the breather vent hole, you gun have air leaks under high pressure. Speaking from experience :whistle:

    ?? High pressure? That shouldn't exist in the pcv plumbing. Did your engine backfire?

    I’m in Maine, and it’s not a problem.
    The non-oil (water) liquid will freeze overnight, but will soon melt when the engine begins running.

    I just bought this one. No vent at the top that needs to be sealed. I opened it up and found that there is no baffle between inlet and outlet, but probably I could add one, in addition to putting in some stainless-steel pot-scrubber material. I am also thinking of drilling and tapping the bottom to take a drain valve instead of relying on the easily-dropped drain plug.

    No issue. In the extreme cold I do like @tvpierce and dump it after warming engine. Or I use a half gal of hot tap water to unfreeze.
