K&N filters v/s paper filters

    But, but.. the amount of dirt would remain the same, no?
    Where did all that dirt go?

    K&N filters do flow more air it's been proven time and time again, but maintaining them to work properly can be time consuming and once you buy a few cleaning kits to keep it working properly not sure if it's worth it. I went back to using the stock filters once i found out i could buy the o.e. part on line for $16 if you decide to go that way be be sure to check out the place i get mine at you'll be happy you did all their o.e. parts are cheap. 17801-37021 - Toyota Parts Prime

    Probably not. I've run paper filters over 100k miles with no ill effects. To whatever small extent your statement might be true, that could only be because the paper filter stops more dirt.
