can you jump it from another car to see what happens? your battery is close to failing, so it would be smart to eliminate it as a possibility, before diving headfirst into the hybrid battery

it looks like some sort of short, maybe a loose wire or bad solder joint behind the dash?

2 Toyota's retired mechanic saw the car, they couldn't identify the problem, at least they didnt charge me anything. Tomorrow the car will have a full inspection at the Toyota dealer. I tried everything but take it to the source. I know they will want to replace everything electronic just to be sure. I will post what was the problem next week. No one, absolutiley no one in 3 differents Toyota pages have hear of a problem like I have.

The following are the suspect areas since the Prius will not become IG-ON:

    Power source control ECU
    AM1 fuse
    AM2 fuse
    IG1 relay
    IG2 relay
    Wire harness

The way everything is flickering it sure does sound like it could be a relay chatter type issue. Would be nice if that's all it is.

To everyone. Finally I have the car running again. The problem was the ecu, it was fried. Main reason OBD didn't work. I bought a used ecu from.ebay ($25) . replaced it. I had to reset it and the car just started. After that I had errors with brake, abs and vtc. A mechanic wanted to charge me around $2000 to replace all the brake system, trying to sell me that this is a comĂșn problem. I did not pay for that, instead I used my foxwell nt520 and I reinitialized the brake system. No more warning lights, car drives perfect.

I had the boxes also and tried replacing the ECU and it didn't work. For future people with similar problems, be sure to check easy stuff like the AM-2 fuse before pulling apart the whole dashboard to get out the ECU like I did. o_O
