I'm looking to install a dashcam in a 2014 Prius Plug-in and a 2012 Prius C. I want to use an Add-A-Fuse, but I'm having trouble figuring out which fuse type it takes. Do these model year Prius's just use a low-profile mini fuse?

Yes, it's confusing. I guess it's who decides to call it what.
I call it the one with the sides of the plastic exposed versus the small fuse with only the
    metal contacts exposed.
That's why I want to SEE it so I KNOW which one I want/need. :)

Pull one of the fuses, look at it, then get one that matches. :) Maybe pull a few fuses incase
someone replace the original one with the wrong one.

I’m pretty sure you are talking about ATM-LP size fuses. (Wife has the car out today so I can’t verify 100%)

Danger Will Robinson: make sure you use a good quality fuse in that expander. Amazon and eBay are chock full of dangerous knockoffs.

Littelfuse and Bussmann are examples of quality brands.

    Hi folks -
I'm looking to do the same here to install a wireless car charger and some interior under dash lighting. Per @Leadfoot J. McCoalroller suggestion I'm looking at Bussmann brand. I found these dual fuse taps. Is this something I would need to use an empty fuse slot, or only if I'm putting in a currently used slot?

You'll have a problem getting the fusebox cover on, since the adapter sits higher than the space under the cover.

Well, unfortunately my fuse box cover has gone missing. I believe it happened when my car was being serviced. I'd had it serviced at a few places over a couple of years before I needed to mess with it. So, I have no idea who did it.

However, is there another way to do this that would allow for the cover to be used?
