ITBland has as chart to move the 6 wires on M13 into the newer MFD configuration.
thread: Will 86110-47230 work instead of 86110-47081 in 2005 Base Model?
If you are putting in a backup OEM camera, you'll need the REV+ line on pin 21. The best place I found was to use IJ3 pin 22 behind the glove box. I just cut it off, there was no pin on the male jack anyway (base 2005), then solder and heat shrink a jumper for M13-21. My new MFD is a 86110-47210, old was 86110-47081. I cut the hole in the hatch for the camera yesterday, waiting on some shielded wire for the camera. Still needs some cabling between MFD M14 and stereo to make the bluetooth work. Map light Console with Mic for the bluetooth and a garage door opener mirror was shipped today. Still a ways to go.......but its do-able... good luck

If you haven't found the answer to this question, Will 86110-47230 work instead of 86110-47081 in 2005 Base Model? | PriusChat
With ITBlands info I put a 47210 MFD and camera into my 05. Working on the combo meter now......

@Texas Hybrid Batteries I know this is an old thread and hoping you're still on the forums. Where did you purchase the right side cluster? I've been trying to find it and I cannot find anywhere that carries them.

Click the user link in your post above and then click on "Start a Conversation" on the pop-up that appears.

Matt sells refurbished combination meters and light clusters, so you will be able to get everything you need to sort out your issues.

Hello. My odometer stuck. Ive got full assembler from 2009 Prius - it is plug and play (after delete tpms light) or the harness is different?

You need to replace the light cluster and the combination meter when you use a 2006-2009 light cluster/combination meter combo into a 2004-2005 Gen 2. If you do both (removing the TPMS LED as you note) then yes, it is plug and play.

I'm not sure what you're asking maybe some detail has been lost in translation.

But you need to remove the 2005 light cluster and the combination meter then install the 2009 light cluster and combination meter. The 2009 light cluster will need the TPMS LED removed before installation.

At post 49 I show photo - it is 2009 assembly with harness. Can I disassembly old and just put in this whole part or I need to just replace odo and claster light to old part?

I don't know sorry and I don't recognize the parts in the photo. Maybe someone like @jerrymildred might have hands-on experience with the process and could help.

Having said that, I can't imagine that with having the parts from the 2009 in hand, it would be that difficult to work out how it goes together once you start removing the 2004 parts.

I don't think I can give the kind of help that's needed. I've replaced several combo meters but never opened up the dash next to it to remove any indicator lights. I don't know if the housing for the light panel is glued together or not. Here's a good video on replacing the combo meter.

Once you get it out of the car, you can investigate the possibility of opening it up and performing surgery on it. I could check our spare parts, but we're shut down for a hurricane right now. Then we're leaving on a two week vacation. But I do remember seeing some screws, so it might open up.

@Michciu94 You can put that whole unit (the picture in post #49) directly into your 04 or 05. Remove the wire harness, you don't need that. Just use the one in the car. It's all pug and play and will work fine with the exception of the TPMS light being on.

To deal with the TPMS light there are pictures posted earlier in this thread that show how to remove that light if you want to do it.

Remember that the odometer will still have the miles or km from the 2009 Prius which it came from.

Hello. I have 2005 Prius Europe and my odometer stuck. I bought odometer from 2007 - after lifting, it has ,,ready” icon etc but don’t have TPMS icon. Will il work without problem with 2005?

Are you sure, I would have thought it would be the other way around? The 2004-2005 did not have TPMS, so no TPMS light. TPMS was introduced in the 2006-2009 facelift, so it should have the TPMS light.

I don't think that would be different in Europe.
