    Hi all,
wondering if anyone has encountered or might know what is going on...

Travelling at highway speed, car switched from electric to gas. Transition was very jerky and car shook a bit harder than usual. Check engine message popped up, yellow engine symbol was solid.

At this point, I couldn't change back to to EV mode and drove cautiously home with gas mode. There seemed to be more vibration coming from the engine.

Dealer doesn't have an appointment time for a couple days... Should I be worried?

If the CEL is staying on and if the vibration is still there, you shouldn't be driving to avoid further damage if any.
While waiting if you are curious to know, you may hook up a scanner and see what the code(s) might be.

Still under warranty, I'd just let the warranty cover it.
I also agree, don't drive it.

Thanks for the replies. After parking and waiting a couple hours, looks like it will run on EV. Will take it to dealer and see what they say.

Hopefully nothing major, I would hate to have to leave it in the shop and drive a regular car where I would have to pay for gas and get stuck in the non-HOV lane!

    I still wouldn't drive it.
You don't want to give the dealership or Toyota any excuse to say that the problem was exacerbated by driving it, with the warning light on. Plus you really don't want to risk further damage.
Sometimes a the cost of a tow, is well worth it.

It's under warranty, so there's nothing to worry about. But I wouldn't drive it either.
