The Power Source Control ECU appears to be mounted behind the dash, just under the combination meter, against the firewall.

As to what, if any voltages should be present at the switch pins, I don't know at this moment. It would be fairly easy to check continuity of the switch contacts though. That would at least let you know if the switch was functioning.

It may be worth checking that harness connector at the switch just to make sure it isn't loose. Even if it's not, you may want to reseat it. Stranger thangs have happened.

TMR-JWAP I purchased power switch from pick and pull still not working. It is like no power is coming to the power switch from the fuse box from the driver side. I checked ig1 relay and it is working. Question: Are the 7.5A ECU-ig fuse and 10A gauge fuse suppose to be hot--constantly on? Just wondering.

Also is there a way to check ig2 relay? That is really hard to get to.

Read through this attachment, page 13 has a chart...kind of leads one to the power source control ecu.
Just give it a good look before jumping in too deep.

Hallelujah! The prius is finally working again! In short, the problem was the power source control ecu. I went to pick and pull car yard and purchased another power source control ecu off another 2005 prius for $8.00 and it works! I want to thank TMR-JWAP for his patience and guidance for helping me through my car problem. I appreciate the attachment you gave me. It was extremely helpful. I will keep you in mind when I run into other prius issues. Take care!

Geo Where you able to replace the ECU from under the dash or did you have to remove the dash to get to it?

Look at the attachment in post 47. Second page has a diagram and shows it's location.

If you have a key icon on the dash when you try to start the car that means the car is not detecting the fob. You have a bad fob.

I find that AAA batteries go downhill after 2 years but getting the Toyota OEM 85 months battery is worth the headache than wasting your MONEY on lesser batttries
