On page 234 of the manual it indicates that the speed limit display in the HUD can be turned off. I have done this, but I still get a speed limit display whenever I enter a new speed zone or exceed the current speed limit. Has anybody been able to get the speed limit display to actually turn off? Alternatively, can I make Toyota "fix" the car so it does what the manual says it should do, should it turn out I am not doing anything wrong?

You could try turning it off on the map display as well.

Navigation manual page 212, or options - MAP information.

Ok, that worked; no more speed limit signs popping up in my HUD. Manual should have mentioned that the speed limit setting is dependent on the nav system setting.

Could blind spot warning appear on HUD screen as well? Haven't figured out how.

No turn signal in the HUD feature is mentioned in either of the manuals, OM and Nav.

So, what's the purpose of an option in the meter settings of multi information display to either not show the speed limit, show it, or show it with Caution described in page 234 of the manual? Is this for something else?

That's for the speed limit showing up on the MID, rather than in the HUD.

Thanks. But I still don't know what "with caution" means.

I will. Also one criticism of the speed limit display in MID is that it is tiny and there's a lot of wasted space. I personally would want the speed limit to be displayed in the same screen as the "Main Display" just next to the digital speedometer. Also, it might be really helpful if the background color of the actual speed reflected its relationship to the known speed limit, like in a Garmin (red when we exceed the speed limit).

I don't think so, but it would be *great* if it did!

It seems that this feature to show the Speed Limit is not available on my Swiss Prius AWD as the option is greyed out and when I looked in the manual it has bracketed (USA only). One could gather that Europeans obey all limits from that, which is not a correct assumption. I would like to have that feature working!

I had not noticed that all the other replies were from Prime drivers. So I can stop trying to find something that don't exist on mine! I am more than happy with my car. It is reading this forum and not noticing seemingly obvious things that is getting me.......

Mind you, that feature is not available in Canada either on the Prime.
