And I think your confidence is misplaced.
All the evidence you provided points to a bad battery.
    Good luck.

    That is NOT a transistor.
Do you REALLY not understand that calling things by their correct name is important ??
    Apparently not.

    STILL WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

uF as in Micro Farad. Resistors are measured in Ohms. You did not install a resistor. The word is, for probably the 8th time in this thread:

    "CAPACITOR"

And it is statements like these that make people question your ability to work on your car.

Yes, the correct terminology is very important, so that everyone can understand what is being conveyed. Transistors, resistors, capacitors – these are all very different components and cannot be used interchangeably.

Depending on the component, which side is positive could very well be important. But more important than that is where did that notion even come from? No one has mentioned positive or negative. The comments are all about you calling the component by the wrong name.

But think about it. Turn CAPACITOR backwards and it sounds like RESISTOR.

Ok, more like ROTICAPAC, but it's kind of in the ballpark.

    Scene in the operating room:

Brain surgeon extends hand and calls out, "Hemostat!"
Nurse slaps a scalpel into his hand and says, "Hemostat."
    Brain surgeon says, "Close enough."

    Or not.

Oh, my lord! You got lucky then. Go buy a ticket in your state lottery.

My friend is always saying to me, "better to be lucky than good."
