2017 Prius Prime console started blanking out a week ago

It does this after I have been driving for a minute or so, it goes blank to a black screen, then comes back like it is rebooting. When it goes blank the radio goes off, too. Then it may go blank again randomly while I am driving. But it always comes back on. Has anyone else else had this happen with their Prime?

 

When I called the dealer, the person who took the call said this is common and that it is probably needing a "system update". It is still under warranty, so I will find out soon what is going on.....
