I’ve been fighting the P3004-131 code for months after I bought and probably installed incorrectly some new batteries from “NewPriusBatteries.com” you know the “D cell” looking ones not the Panasonic ones. Well long, long, long story short, I had the p.o.s. Towed to my mechanic who knows Hybrids (so he said) and after realizing that I forgot a cable, he re-installed the batteries and the pack. Well, it threw the aforementioned code, and won’t run. When you power on the car, the first time, no “red triangle”, just won’t start the engine, you hit the power button again, and the “red triangle of death” shows up. He’s gone over everything. Maybe the ECU in the pack is bad due to my negligence in not putting a cable on correctly. I don’t f’n know. All I know is I GIVE UP... Anyone is the Reno, NV area want some batteries for a lot less than I paid for them? Want a “Parts car”? ‘07 . That I thought I could get running. Craigslist here I come. Oh, it has a brand new 12v battery as well. “AS-IS - Where IS”.

How far into the workup (below) did the mechanic make it?

Here is the workup for the aforementioned DTC (P3004 w/ INF 131) : https://share.qclt.com/%E4%B8%B0%E7%94%B0%E6%99%AE%E7%91%9E%E6%96%AF%E5%8E%9F%E5%8E%82%E8%8B%B1%E6%96%87%E6%89%8B%E5%86%8Cpdf%E6%A0%BC%E5%BC%8F/Repair%20Manual/04pruisr/05/21bpm/3004131.pdf
Were there additional DTCs retrieved when you scanned it with techstream or another hybrid compatible OBD2 scanner?
How much are you looking to get out of it?

Sounds about right, best to start a thread in the cars for sale section.

Would rather see you get this back on the road, then hear all the stories about how much you're loving a prius

Can you post some photos of the electronics section of the battery? where the main relays are and the wires connected to them?

I’m sorry, the car is in the shop, I’m towing it home tomorrow. The battery pack has been put together and is in the car.

I do too, It’s just been so frustrating, I’ve talked to mechanic after mechanic in town, I’ve researched it, I’ve emailed the guy I bought the batteries from, I have my mechanic “rebuild” the battery pack. At least he got it to go into “neutral” as it was locked up tight. I can’t tell you how much time, energy and frustration has been in this. It ran when I bought it, and I should’ve bought a “re-manufactured” battery, but thought to myself “ I can do it” “It’s simple” “what can go wrong?”. My bad.

I think it’s probably the HV ECU and so does the guy who I bought the batteries from. I give up! I bought an Abarth 500C and that’s more fun to drive and still get good mpg when I want. Wanna buy it? I just posted in the for sale section.

2000 miles and $2500....both exceed my range. Appreciate the offer though. Too bad you're not closer, I'd help you out just for the fun of it..
