I don't believe Carista can read IDs out of new or unknown sensors. This is an important need when new-to-you TPMS sensors arrive without printed-out ID numbers.

I have the old ATEQ tools, but somebody mentioned a newer, better, less expensive choice in a recent thread.

If you are willing to spend over $200, Autel TS508 (or older TS501) is the best TPMS scan, diagnose, and relearn tool in this price range. In fact, there aren't any other TPMS tool in this price range. ATEQ quick set tool is the only other tool in ~$150 price tag, but it does not have feature TS508 has. The older TS501 tool can be had at less than $200 sometimes, but newer TS508 has some features that TS501 does not have. It will cost you a little more than $200. If you need to buy TPMS sensors, you should look for Autel kit that comes with 8 programmable sensors. I got one with 8 sensors (dual-frequency and interchangeable stems) kit with the TS508 tool for $250 on eBay. I use it for thee different model Japanese cars in my family, and it already paid for itself after 1 year of use. It is so easy to use to scan and re-program ECU via OBDII. One caution is that Autel up to date software for the TS508 currently does not have 2020 PRIME in the list of cars. A future update will have it. Autel provides free lifetime updates for this tool. Until then, you have to select the 2019 Corolla Hybrid to use the tool on 2020 PRIME. Oddly, selecting 2018 PRIME does not work.

The ATEQ Quickset cannot read IDs from new sensors. It just reads out the old IDs stored in the car, and programs in new IDs, and transfers these numbers back and forth to a PC (via USB). But one needs to know those new IDs first.

The ATEQ VT30, ~$200, is an RF reader that captures the sensor IDs and pressures and temperatures though the tire sidewall. This brings the toolset price up to ~$350, not counting the computer that the Quickset must connect to.

An all-in-one stand-alone tool will be easier. And with those Autel devices also cheaper than the ATEQ pair, so much the better. At least I've had my ATEQs long enough to already have paid for themselves in savings from needing a tire shop to program after seasonal tire swaps on two cars.
