so far, with 4kw solar and the Prime, data is actual, the charge is not subtracted from the PV production upload_2020-6-27_7-36-45.png

    Is it grid-tied?

yep grid tied, in my state the net metering is even, so I charge whenever. It does have a use solar first option so when the sun is shining it takes the solar electricity first. If the Prime needed more than 16 amps it would combine the solar and the grid for up to 40 amps.

I'm not sure what you're showing us. The PV panels will produce all they can produce. If your house load (total house load including charging the car) is less than the PV panel production, some will be sold to the grid...and vice versa. Are you telling us that you're getting something, the car charge, for nothing? In the case of excess production the amount used by the car will be juice that isn't sold to the grid.

Your correct, the EV charge is just a load, sometimes comes from the solar, sometimes the grid. The cool thing here is the solar inverter has a built in EV charger. It has the feature of pulling from the solar and grid at the same time. But that is not really helpful with the Prime 3.6kw draw.
