Dead MFD

    So recently my MFD died. Complete black screen. However, my hazard lights still work and clock. The AC was stuck on when the unit went out and now it has stopped working. I replaced the MFD by ordering a refurbed unit off of ebay. This did not fix my problem. It's doing the same thing the origional one did. Any suggestions. I'm trying to find the fuse that runs the MFD but haven't had any luck. It's a 2006 prius II. The model # of the MFD is 86110-47220

    My MFD on my 2009 just started to have issues too. I called AutoBeYours dot com and was told it would be about $300 plus $20 S&H to have my current one serviced and "fixed". I think I was told about a 5 day turn around time. I will likely go with them next week. I reached them at 1 812 752 5050.

    It was the #14 fuse. 15 amp

    MFD went black on my 2008 Prius. Rebooting the computer fixed the problem. I disconnected the starter battery and grounded the lead going from the battery to the car's electronics. Left it that way for an hour. Reconnected everything and now it works. Simple fix that worked for me.
