The problem is that I am very tired. Nothing makes sense anymore. You’re talking about the repairing one, right?
I think I need to find the part? Where’s the most inexpensive place?

Search Amazon for Prius inverter pump, pretty good price and 2 day shipping..

Replace it and AM2 fuse should get you back on the road..

It's generally the inverter saying "I'm not happy, I'm too hot, taking a nap now" but because of the pump. Working pump, happy inverter.

@Elisa daSilva, sounds like you are on your way to success. Bad pump is less bad news than bad battery. Get some rest and replace the pump. It's supposed to be fairly easy. I have not done this yet, so can't say from experience. But watched videos and am confident it's a simple job. Also a lot less money than even a 12V battery. Good luck!

Theirs more to it than the pump though. You have to dump the Inverter coolant that's a big bolt under the car right next to the trans dump bolt then have to fill the Inverter coolant system back up with 2 gallons of toyota LLC then take the plastic cover off the rad and bleed the coolant
    of any air lock.

There's many you tubes on it. Also use the search forums tab up top and search

    inverter coolant pump

Your Prius didnt like it when you dirtied up her hiney with all them dirt and leaves. :giggle:

Hopefully that solves it and you don't have the headache of replacing the pump and THEN having to do that damn hybrid battery and THEN having the 12V crap out and THEN having to get a hybrid battery all over again like I had to.

I got so pissed I wanted to drive my Prius into a freeway wall, then I realized that this isn't the Indy 500, and I don't have the sponsors to pay for a new car...

...I just ran around in my underpants for a bit.

Actually, you don't have to drain coolant to do the pump swap..
Loosen driver side bumper, remove driver's side headlamp, clamps the hoses to inverter pump with hose clamp.. you lose minimal coolant..

However, it's a good idea to change the coolant if it hasn't been changed the past 100k miles...

Probably. I bought a gallon+ of antifreeze already diluted when it died because the engine coolant was low. Is that the same as the battery coolant?

The battery is in the back of the car, and air cooled.

The coolant for the inverter and transmission is, yes, the premixed Toyota SLLC, same as for the engine.

You have to use the pink coolant in both the engine and inverter circuits. You can buy expensive Toyota stuff or less expensive stuff at auto store or Walmart. As long as it's the pink stuff for Asian cars. It will say so on the bottle. Battery is not water cooled. Just the inverter. You may need more than a gallon. Watch the YT on this. I have not done this, so no experience. It can be difficult to get the air bled out, though the inverter circuit is easier than the engine one.

All the fuses are under the hood in the fuse block, I believe.

    Good luck.

Fuse Box Diagram Toyota Prius (XW20; 2004-2009)

The door jamb is tied to DOME and the security and safety system (headlight off from lock, smart key (if so equipped) etc. From your key and outside of the car, does your car lock/unlock from the remote?

It's number 17 on the engine compartment fuse list from the link I sent you.

Yeah, just pull and test for parasitic draw again. If its gone, then you know that and associated systems are the cause (and makes sense if its smart key functioning). However not sure what the normal draw would be, hope someone here can chime in
