battery was changed in key fob. Will not unlock with buttons or with automatic door sensor; must use key. Once in the car we must place the key fob on power button to start, being in the car for a few minutes the dash reports that the key is not detected. Please help.

First, make sure the battery is installed right-side-up. The red LED should light when you press buttons.

My 2015 started doing that key not detected when the 12v battery was going bad. Have the 12v battery checked.

Is it not true that the "engine starting" function does not depend on the battery in the FOB ?
And that is a different function from what the buttons do ??
