Front USB outlet doesn't charge phone?

    I'm not sure that all of the various Prime trims and years have this feature, but I think Toyota addressed this problem by providing a "Qi" charging pad in the console:

    This is an elegant solution if your vehicle and your phone have Qi capabilities. Unfortunately, not all do.

    I just connected to CarPlay this week and the USB port is able to charge my iPhone SE and run navigation through Google maps. I tested it out on my half hour commute home from work without any issues.

    My Iphone Xs Max does get charge slowly while using the Carplay.
    Properly it needs a good cable in this case for data transfer & power out from the front usb same time.

    Noticed that in my car too. Its not charging won't even show the arrow sign when connected .been like that since i got the car. usb charge On the gen 3 was charging well. I thought to open the connection panel cover there and check for loose wire? Did anybody do that?
